Just a few weeks ago my sister, Megan, and I tried out a
recipe for homemade liquid laundry detergent. It took us about 20 minutes to make and we love it. It gets clothes clean, smells great, and best of all, it costs about 3 cents per load. Hard to beat.
I recently realized I'm about to run out of the gel hand sanitizer that I use after changing Ela's diaper--I do so because I can't immediately wash my hands and can't stand to pick her up without sanitizing. I began to wonder if I could make my own hand sanitizer and if it would be cheaper, and hopefully save from having to throw another container away. I looked online and sure enough I found a super simple recipe
here. I think I'll try it.
